Due to rapid urbanization, there is scarcity of land for proper shelter for urban people and they started construction of multi dwelling complexes. And due to geographic and monetary conditions, multi-dwelling/vertical rise buildings/Apartment Complexes started widely accepting by all the people.
For the average Indian, buying a house and seeking the security of a roof over their heads is a lifelong pursuit. Towards this mission, they stake their life’s earnings and future employment potential, and seek to buy homes through loans and mortgages. In doing so, they invoke debt and pledge valuables for that elusive home. They, thus, with great difficulty, put together the means and invest in properties under construction. While doing so they approach the project ignorant of their rights under the law, and, unaware or unsure of the developer/builders’ responsibilities and obligations. In doing so they end up at the mercy of the real estate industry: characterized by false promises, tall claims, and, even deceit; all leading to unkempt promises, poor delivery and turmoil, as against the safety and security of a home and a hearth.
